Re # 2 Chan Romero "My Little Ruby" / " I Don't Care Now" (Au Columbia DO 4123) and "Hippy Hippy Shake" / "If I Had A Way" (Au Columbia DO 4124) were released simultaneously 16 Feb (17 April in W.A) 1960. Highly unusual though not isolated action from EMI....probabably to capitalise on Romero's tour...

Re #5 Interesting to note that when the Rays "Silhouettes" / "Daddy Cool" was released by The Diamonds that the legendary white group covered not only "Silhouettes" but also backed it with a cover of "Daddy Cool" on the flip.

This subject reminds me of (the possibly) first place name thematic lp release of "The Explosive Freddy Cannon" ( Boston, Kansas City, Tallahassie Lassie, etc. And the absolutely fascinating recordings of "High School USA" by Tommy Facenda with 30 different versions released on 45rpm of the same son...

This is an interesting topic. Some specialist vocal group collectors in the states limited their libaries to 45rpm recordings of songs enhanced by bells or lyrical content that referred to bells ("Whispering Bells", "Bells Bells Bells" etc.). How about someone compile a listing?
