Tony Joe White passes

Sad news coming through that the legendary "swamp rocker" Tony Joe White has suffered a fatal heart attack. He was 75. He had to cancel a tour of Australia scheduled for earlier this month because of a bulging disc in his back but the heart attack was sudden and unrelated to his other condition. Apart from his own successful recording career his compositions were also very popular, being recorded by the likes of Brook Benton, Tom Jones, Dusty Springfield, Elvis Presley and Tina Turner.
